About me
We all deserve to be heard, to have our experiences validated and to take up space just as we are. In therapy, I aim to create a space where you can reconnect with your voice, explore what matters to you and move toward the changes you want to make, however big or small they may be at your own pace. Whether you're dealing with issues from the past, struggling with low mood, navigating life transitions or just feeling stuck, you're not alone. If your goal is to build self-awareness, overcome negative thoughts or develop coping strategies, we might be a good match.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models to suit your unique needs. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach in counselling, so I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to assess your needs and explore how we could work together. Therapy is an investment in yourself and you deserve it.
Online counselling allows you to access sessions that work around your schedule with many clients choosing to have sessions during their lunch break or while their children are sleeping.
Many of the clients I work with express feeling as though they have "lost" themselves. This may be due to postpartum issues, a chronic illness diagnosis, leaving an unhealthy relationship or other life transitions that leave them asking "who am I now?" The work we complete involves stripping back the layers to get to the root of the individual with the goal of increasing self-esteem and confidence. Whatever brings you to counselling I’ll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. If you’re ready to talk, I’m here to listen.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working with teenagers and adults across a wide range of presenting issues, including bereavement, low self-esteem, chronic illness, relationship difficulties, stress, anxiety and overthinking. I currently work within the charity sector and in private practice, where I have supported clients in developing resilience, self-awareness and compassionate inner dialogue. I regularly complete training for both personal and professional development to ensure I am working in the most ethical and supportive way.
My qualifications include:
- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- MSc in Psychology
- Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Children and Young People
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism
- Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
