About me

Hi, I’m Lauren

Becoming a counsellor has been one of the most grounding and fulfilling paths I’ve ever taken. It came from a deep-rooted desire to support others through life’s challenges in a calm, compassionate, and open way. Along with a cosy, welcoming space indoors for therapy to take place, I also offer Outdoor Therapy. A unique, nature-based approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing. I invite clients to walk along a beautiful space in Fleet, Hampshire. Being in nature can be incredibly healing. It offers freedom, movement, and a gentle rhythm that often helps thoughts and emotions flow more freely.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, stress, life changes, relationship difficulties, or you’re simply feeling overwhelmed, our time together will be shaped around your needs. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you at a pace that feels right.

You deserve someone who listens, devoted to hearing you, without assumptions or expectations. My role isn’t to fix you, but to walk alongside you as you find your way through whatever you’re facing. I believe in building trust, step by step, through gentle encouragement and meaningful connection. Therapy with me is warm, human, and real. We can work from my cosy home office or along the beautiful pathway of the canal in Fleet, Whatever feels right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and hold the following qualifications:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 in Counselling Skills

These credentials have given me a strong foundation in counselling theory and practice, but what truly shapes the way I work is who I am as a person. I believe in honesty, empathy, and creating a space where you can feel truly seen and heard.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
