About me
I believe that the answers lie within you. My goal is to empower you to trust in your ability to cope with life’s challenges, not by striving for constant positivity, but by building resilience and confidence.
I want our time together to be as impactful and meaningful as possible. My work allows me to be your advocate, celebrating both your smallest victories and your biggest breakthroughs.
As a therapist, I am committed to providing a counselling experience that creates a safe, comfortable environment for growth and healing. Transparency is a cornerstone of my practice; I will always be open and honest with you, fostering a genuine and trusting relationship.
I work integratively, combining a range of therapeutic models and theories allowing me to adapt my approach depending on your needs.
I focus on:
Self-Discovery: Guiding you to explore your feelings, navigate your unique experiences and uncover your inner strengths and resources, helping you understand yourself on a deeper level.
Empowerment: Building your confidence to face life's challenges with a sense of competence and self-assurance, enabling you to take control of your life.
Resilience: Developing your ability to handle setbacks and adversity, preparing you to cope with life's inevitable difficulties.
Comprehensive Support: Addressing your mental, emotional, physical and personal growth needs, ensuring that your wellbeing is nurtured and supported.
My goal is to work with you to develop the tools needed to navigate life’s complexities, overcome obstacles, and thrive with confidence and resilience.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have dedicated over five years to intensive training, completing a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Regent's University in London, followed by a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the Northern Guild for Counselling and Psychotherapy in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Throughout my career as a therapist, I have gained valuable experience working with a variety of clients across private practice, the charitable sector and within the NHS. Additionally, I hold a 1st class honours degree in Business with Marketing Management, having previously worked in the sector for over 10 years. I believe this experience enhances my ability to understand and address the diverse needs and experiences of my clients.
In addition to my qualifications and experience, I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check, ensuring a safe and professional experience for all my clients. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the Northern Guild for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I work in accordance with the BACP's ethical standards, ensuring that my practice is professional, ethical, and client-centred. This unique combination of therapeutic training, business acumen, and practical experience enables me to offer a well-rounded and insightful approach to counselling.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
