About me

I believe at the centre of all counselling and therapy is, You. Your needs. I aim to provide a warm, non-judgemental space for you to help you feel comfortable and supported to work through life’s stresses, anxieties, sadness, and loneliness. My hope is to help to you on your journey, working with you at your pace and speed, to get to a place in your life where you feel you can be at one with yourself.

Being trained as a psychotherapist means that I have knowledge and understanding to help you look into your past to understand how events, traumas, attachments, emotions and feelings are affecting you in the present and work together to empower you to shape or change your future…or even to just be at one with what you have gone through. It may be that we use the 1 hour session for you to offload the days struggles that are bringing you down. Sometimes the most helpful thing, is having someone there; listening, non-judgementally whilst you talk through what is upsetting you. The sessions are for you and we can decide together what will most benefit you.

Being an integrative psychotherapist means that I use a variety of different counselling and psychological theories to best suit you on your healing journey.

I have nearly 10 years’ experience in working within various Mental Health settings and organisations and have worked with teenagers, young adults and adults. I am passionate about my work and understand the powerful affect therapy and counselling can have on your life. That is why I aim to make therapy accessible, affordable and comfortable for anyone who wants to begin their healing journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
