About me
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adults, young people and adolescents.
How counselling and psychotherapy might help you:
Seeking support during difficult times can be one of the hardest steps to take.
I deeply value honesty in those who are wanting to face their challenges and work through them. Therapy offers a safe and non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. With my support, we can work together to process what you're going through, and begin to reframe and repack those experiences in a way that allows meaningful change to happen for you.
Every individual and their self-concept is constructed in a unique way and my practice will be tailored to meet your needs.
I work in a relational way which allows a deeper level of empathy to understand how you must be experiencing your distress. I bring focus to unconscious processes, patterns of thoughts and behaviours which can influence how you relate to yourself and the world around you.
These processes can derive from your childhood experiences or more recent events in your life. We work together to explore these at your pace, bring them forward to your awareness so that you can make decisions about how you can move forward with those experiences you may carry.
This can then alleviate the distress, help you feel more grounded and connected with yourself, your inner world and relate more meaningfully with those around you.
You are welcome to visit my website which includes further details about my practice and how I might be able to support you.
You're also welcome to contact me to discuss what might be concerning you and if you also have any questions regarding therapy.
What to expect in your first session:
Our first session together allows for us to explore what you would like to gain from the therapeutic relationship. This can be done by giving you the space to download where you are currently at at that moment in time and discuss what you might want to focus on specifically going forward.
Sometimes it can be difficult downloading to a new person, so it might be helpful for me to ask questions, such as, how you are currently feeling, where would you like to see yourself over time, background and family history, previous mental health concerns. I would also determine who is in your life to provide your support outside of your session and where you might go to find immediate support if you are struggling to cope.
We will then discuss how your sessions might look going forward, how many you feel might be helpful to you, including timings, location, in person or online.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
