About me
Hello and a very warm welcome!
Taking the first step to seek therapy can feel understandably daunting. To support you in this, I offer an empathetic, safe and non-judgemental space where together we explore the patterns and experiences that have shaped your life which may be causing you pain or difficulty. My advanced clinical training in relational integrative psychotherapy (MSc) means that I bring together humanistic, psychodynamic, developmental and somatic approaches to help you better understand yourself, your relationships and the ways you connect with others so that meaningful change becomes possible.
Perhaps you struggle with anxiety or low mood, feel stuck in grief or trauma, experience stress and overwhelm, repeat unhelpful, repetitive patterns or feel held back from living a fulfilled and happy life. Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, my aim is to support you towards healing, growth and recovery.
My collaborative approach which sees the relationship between us as key to our work together, supports you to develop new ways of understanding yourself and responding to life's challenges. Through this, you become better equipped to move forward in a way that is not only healthier for your wellbeing in the present, but also more fulfilling for your future.
Training, qualifications & experience

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer an initial free 15-minute call/zoom meet.
After this, our first session is a 60-minute assessment where we talk through what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with and how I may be able to help you. It is also an opportunity for you to talk about what you are hoping for from our work together and get a sense of whether therapy with me feels comfortable and right for you.
You are welcome to ask any questions you may have and we will go through the counselling agreement including confidentiality, privacy and practical arrangements. I offer both face-to-face and online therapy which can be short or long-term depending on your individual needs. My practice is in the village of Branston, just outside Lincoln city centre with parking outside and good links to public transport.
