About me

I have a warm and inquisitive nature and understand the importance of building a good therapeutic relationship. I provide a safe and respectful space taking a collaborative approach with clients and encouraging people to build on their own resilience and resources. I offer generic counselling and specialist counselling, working from welcoming, comfortable and private rooms in central Exeter.

In addition to general counselling I am able to offer specialist support to individuals experiencing gender dsyphoria, gender incongruence, who are transgender. Partners and family members who are directly impacted by any challenges this may bring. I am also able to offer supportive counselling to people with Aspergers or who experience autistic traits

I have a wealth of experience working with people with a variety of mental health challenges and associated difficulties including personality disorders, trauma, Aspergers, ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Gender incongruence and dysphoria.

I currently divide my time between private practice and working in the public sector at an NHS gender identity clinic where I support individuals & families through the process of transitioning.

Previous clinical mental health settings within the NHS include The Counselling Service with referrals from the Depression and Anxiety Service in Newton Abbot and the Torbay Mental Health Assessment Team.
