About me
Hi, I'm Laura. Based in Bingley West Yorkshire, I can work with you in person, online or by telephone.
You might have a build up of life experiences or something might have happened that has triggered a sudden change in you that's brought you here. Whatever's going for you, I'm here to help; you can talk to me about anything that is going on in your life. I'll be with you through these thoughts and feelings; working together we can face these things in the way that is right for you.
I know that starting counselling can be nerve wracking, especially if it's a new experience for you or if your pot of energy feels nearly empty. Together we will take things at the speed that is right for you, to help you to feel like you again.
To get started, we can either have a quick chat on the phone , or you can book your first session to discuss whats going on for you and how I can help. We can work together when it's good for you, whether that's weekly, fortnightly, monthly or a just a one off session.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a qualified and registered counsellor. I'll adapt my counselling approach to meet your needs, incorporating a number of ways of working depending on the issue we are talking about. This allows us to work in the way that is right for you.
Qualifications:
- Level 4 Diploma Counselling Skills & Theory
- Level 5 Diploma Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice
- Mental Health First Aider
- Degree in Sociology
- Masters in Business Management
I am also a counsellor with Bradford Bereavement Support and work as a mental health crisis support worker in Bradford.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
