About me

Fortnightly Therapy Sessions
I exclusively offer fortnightly therapy for adults and young people from 16 years old, within a safe and confidential space to pause, talk things through and feel genuinely heard.

For many, meeting every other week offers a helpful balance—regular therapeutic support with enough time between sessions to reflect, process what we’ve discussed, and try new things if you wish.

I work with a range of issues, including anxiety and depression, relationships, identity and self-esteem, life transitions, trauma and stress, addictions and habits, loss and grief.

My approach is collaborative, practical, caring and down-to-earth. Together, we can explore difficult thoughts and feelings, untangle challenges, recognise your strengths and gain greater clarity about who and what matters most to you. I offer honest reflection, gentle challenge and realistic encouragement, always working at a pace that feels right for you.

I think of this as “being with you” and “doing with you”—providing the emotional space to feel heard, understood and supported, alongside practical encouragement to help you make changes that matter to you.

Fortnightly therapy may particularly suit you if you value time between sessions to reflect, have a busy schedule or other commitments, want a more affordable way to access ongoing counselling, or simply prefer the rhythm of meeting every two weeks.

If helpful, I can also offer optional bridging support between sessions, such as reflective exercises, worksheets or practical resources. These are always invitations, never expectations—there’s no pressure or homework to “get right.”

Ultimately, the aim is to help you make better sense of what you’re experiencing, develop self-compassion and resilience, and move towards a life that feels more balanced, meaningful and right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

BSc (Hons) qualified and insured Counsellor, and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) with over 15 years experience. I practice in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

I originally trained in the Person-Centred tradition, which prioritises the individual's needs, preferences, and values in care and decision-making. I structure the work within an inclusive, integrative perspective, deeply rooted in Humanistic values which has collaboration at its heart, and a strong emphasis on client–therapist dialogue on the 'goals', or 'aims', 'hopes', 'wants' of the therapy.

I have a number of years of experience in specialist agencies, with training undertaken by leaders in the field, providing:

Compassionate and sensitive trauma support with survivors of unwanted sexual experiences.

Structured recovery work for those struggling with problematic drug and alcohol use, and compulsions and habits.

To ensure my practice remains current, responsive, and effective, and so clients can benefit as much as possible from the sessions. I continue an upkeep of certified continuous professional development (CPD) training through workshops, online, and publications, and attend supervision relevant to my client caseload.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
