About me
I am a qualified Counsellor working in mid Cornwall, offering both online and face to face sessions.
I have worked in mental health for all of my career, this being in statutory, voluntary and private settings. I began by working with young people but am very experienced in and have over fourteen years of experience working with all age ranges and mental health conditions.
My sessions are tailored to each individual, therefore I can help you with your own process as well as teach emotional coping skills, techniques to raise self-esteem and help cognitive realignment.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Member of the BACP and have over five years of training and qualification in counselling, this being predominantly Person Centred Therapy with Cognitive behavioural therapy, Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis.
I have worked within charities and part contracted with the NHS, with every age range from children and young people, adults to the elderly and I have experience supporting people with additional learning needs and autism.
I have facilitated group courses on anxiety management and working with depression.
My work mainly is one to one.

Member of the BACP, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Transactional Analysis UKCP Accredited year. (Iron Mill Therapy College Exeter, 2024).
Advanced Diploma Counselling. (Plymouth University 2012).
Foundation Degree Counselling. (Plymouth University 2010).

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
