About me

I am an accredited qualified counsellor based in Banbury. I have flexible working hours including evenings. I work one to one with adults and young people. I also offer counselling for couples. for My aim is to offer you a safe and confidential place where you can feel safe to explore the areas of your life that may be troubling or causing you concern.

I am offering telephone and online counselling via zoom. This may not be your first choice and may be you would usually prefer face to face sessions, but it may be worth giving it a try! I can support you through the process of setting up zoom if that would be helpful.

ACC

Association for Christian Counsellors

The Association of Christian Counsellors is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK.

The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

  • £50 per session* for individual counselling.
  • £75 per session** for couples counselling
  • £50 per hour for supervision

* a session is 50 mins for individual

** a session is 1 hour for couples work

Payment can be made by BACS

Further information

I use an integrative approach, which means I use a blend of different methods such as psychodynamic theory, person-centred, CBT and Transactional Analysis depending on what may be most suitable for you. I can also offer space to explore areas of faith and spirituality.
