About me
As a former Team GB athlete, I’ve experienced the pressure and drive that come with high-level performance..but I’ve also come to see that some of life’s hardest challenges aren’t always the most visible.
Whether it’s pushing yourself to meet expectations or carrying the quieter, everyday weight of relationships, identity, or self-worth, life asks a lot of us. Now, as a trauma-focused therapist based in Macclesfield, I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the complex, sometimes messy realities of being human.
My practice is rooted in the belief that we are all more than our symptoms or labels. I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can explore not just what hurts, but what matters...your values, your choices, your sense of self. While I take an anti-pathologising approach, I also recognise the importance of naming experiences with care. As someone committed to neurodiversity affirmation, I welcome and support clients with ADHD, autism, and other forms of difference, viewing these as variations in human experience rather than deficits to be fixed.
I work with the understanding that healing is not about erasing pain, but making meaning from it. I believe in your capacity to grow, to make choices that feel aligned, and to come into deeper contact with your own agency and authenticity. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply disconnected, we can work together to uncover what’s getting in the way..and move toward a life that feels more your own.
If you’re looking for a thoughtful, person-centred therapy in Macclesfield, I invite you to get in touch.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
