About me
I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, meaning my approach is entirely focused on your individual needs. As a relational counsellor I believe the therapeutic relationship is the key to helping you explore how past issues may be affecting your present. I will work with you at your own pace with compassion, to gain a better understanding of the source of your difficulties and work with you to understand how they may be impacting your current relationships. I offer a confidential, caring and empathic space free from judgement so that you feel comfortable enough to explore the issues that are affecting your wellbeing and impacting your daily life.
Perhaps you are feeling anxious, depressed or overwhelmed and finding it difficult to see a way forward. I would like to offer a safe environment where you can express yourself and help you work through challenges together. Therapy can help you gain further awareness of who you are, help you make the most of your life and harness your inner strength.
If this connects with you then please feel free to get in touch. We can talk through what is troubling you and you can ask me any questions before deciding to work together.
I offer a free introductory video call to get to know each other and address any questions/concerns you may have. If you decide to go ahead with counselling we would agree to work online or an in person at my partnership practice in Kingston or Esher at a suitable day and time.
Training, qualifications & experience
My varied counselling experience includes working within not-for-profit agencies and women-only charities, supporting adult men and women with mild to more severe mental health challenges including; anxiety, relationship problems, cptsd, grief, addiction, low self-esteem, postnatal depression, domestic abuse and sexual assault in Surrey and London, as well as in private practice. I also work with adolescents and have experience working within a school setting. Working with a diverse range of clients within different settings has broaden my skillset and enabled me to attune to each individual client and respond to their need in a way that suits them specifically.
Prior to my counselling training I spent 20 years working in the music industry and subsequently moved into the non-for-profit sector. Therefore, I understand how our working lives and the stress and pressure it creates, impacts all areas our lives; relationships, health and well-being.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
