Hello, my name is Kate. I offer Person-Centred Therapy in Shrewsbury. I am passionate about offering support to you during this challenging time. I provide a safe and confidential space. A non judgemental environment will allow you to tell your story and feel heard. Together we can discuss what has brought you to therapy, discover coping strategies and explore future goals. Counselling can help you to understand yourself and others better. I believe my approachable nature allows me to connect with people of all personalities. The number of sessions is dependant on individual needs. I am happy to provide sessions on a short or long term basis
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified therapist and hold a degree in Person-Centred counselling.
I hold an additional qualification in working with children and teenagers. I have experience of working with personal matters and family issues. I understand the level of sensitivity required when working with young people

I have experience in the voluntary sector working for charitable organisations within Shropshire.
I am fully insured under professional liability and DBS approved. I am a registered member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

I can arrange appointments via phone, skype or zoom.
I am available weekdays, evenings and weekends.
The agreed fee is payable in advance.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually held weekly or fortnightly.
