About me
I offer warm, compassionate and empowering therapy for adults and young people, face to face in Wetherby and online.
How I work.
I will get to know you as an individual, accept your experiences and understand your point of view on life. We will work together to explore what has brought you to therapy, ways to better understand yourself, and to find insights and perspectives which can bring about the changes you wish to make.
Building a trusting and genuine relationship in which you feel safe will form the basis of our work together. Within this, we may integrate elements from various therapeutic approaches (such as person-centred, gestalt, compassion-focused, CBT) to best meet your individual needs and therapy goals. My aim is to work in a collaborative and non-judgmental way to first establish what you hope to gain from therapy, and then to work towards lasting change in a way that feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience.
I have experience working both within the public and charity sector, with adults, children and families, and welcome meeting individuals with a variety of experiences and in diverse situations.
I aim to work in a neurodivergent affirming way and in an anti-discriminatory manner.
Adolescents.
I have worked with children and young people as a school counsellor and in bereavement services so understand the many pressures teenagers and their families are currently facing. I enjoy building relationships with young people through play, creative activities, games and talking, and will work to find which approaches fit best for them. Please contact me for an initial 15 – 20 minute conversation to discuss you and your child’s needs and explore how we could work together.

- BA (Hons) English and Philosophy
- Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
