PGDip Psychodynamic Psychotherapy MBACP

About me

Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a therapist offering in-person sessions in Buckhurst Hill and Chelmsford, as well as online therapy for clients across the UK.

With over 15 years of experience working with the body, I specialise in understanding how anxiety shows up physically. My background as a Sports Therapist and Clinical Pilates teacher has given me a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement mechanics. I’ve supported clients experiencing back, neck and shoulder pain, hip pain, Fibromyalgia, and Scoliosis — experiences I now integrate into my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

In our sessions, we will talk through past experiences, trauma, and relationship patterns — but therapy with me is also embodied. On certain days we may include gentle breath-work, grounding tools, or simple techniques to release tension in your neck, back or chest. You’ll learn practical strategies to calm your nervous system, reconnect with your body, and reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety such as chronic pain, restlessness, a racing heart, or the feeling of being on high alert.

Therapy offers a quiet, safe space to reconnect with yourself.

My role is to help you rediscover your inner calm that grounded, peaceful voice within you — so you can move through challenges with clarity and confidence. Real change happens within the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship: a space where you can explore your emotions, understand what drives you, and gently shift the patterns that no longer serve you.

To start, simply email me your contact details and a brief message with your 'why therapy now' and I'll get back to you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

If you suffer from high levels of anxiety/panic attacks, I use therapeutic yoga and somatic techniques, breathing exercises, mindfulness, as well as talking therapy to help clients. I find that the mixed approach works very well in grounding the mind and body and helping with the physical symptoms of anxiety.
