About me

Hello and welcome. Are you suffering with anxiety, depression or both? Something needs to change, but you are not sure what? Are you finding it difficult to get through the day without breaking down? Not sleeping, low or panicked mood? Perhaps you are wondering whether past experiences are affecting your day-to-day life.

Whatever has brought you here today, I want you to know that this is a safe and confidential space where you can freely explore your emotions without fear of judgment.  In therapy, we can explore your past and present experiences, create a sense of safety, and work through any emotional pain. There's no specific agenda for our sessions - it's a space for us to reflect and discuss whatever is important to you. Therapy is a collaborative process, so we'll go at a pace that feels right for you. Instead of pushing you out of your comfort zone, we'll gradually expand it.

I am a registered psychodynamic psychotherapist offering in-person sessions  at a confidential consulting room. Online sessions are also available via Zoom.

Please email me in the first instance and we can arrange a free 15 minute telephone consultation where I can answer any questions you may have and we can see if we are a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

Dip in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. This was a 3 year diploma at level 5.

I am currently working towards a Post Grad Dip (level 7-Masters) in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Prior to my work in the mental health field, I spent 15 years in the health and well-being industry working with clients with chronic physical pain and musculoskeletal disorders. I have a keen interest in working with clients with autoimmune disease and chronic pain

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
