About me
I'm a qualified counsellor with a BSc Hons in Therapeutic Counselling and a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). Based in the heart of North Somerset, I am privileged to support individuals from our local communities.
I serve clients across the region, including Winscombe, Cheddar, Axbridge, Banwell, Congresbury, Portishead, Clevedon, Pill, Yatton and Weston-super-Mare, providing a consistent and safe space for everyone.
As a Neurodivergent affirming practitioner i work with people navigating a wide range of challenges anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, and life transitions. But more than my qualifications, what drives me is a genuine passion for helping people heal and grow.
I've been where you are. I know what it's like to feel different, lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected. That's why I'm committed to offering a space where you can be truly seen and heard without judgement, without pressure, and without pretence.
What I Offer
In our sessions, you'll find a compassionate, confidential space where you can:
- Explore your feelings and experiences without fear of judgement
- Gain clarity on what's holding you back and what you truly want
- Develop tools and strategies to manage anxiety, stress, and difficult emotions
- Reconnect with your authentic self and build a life that feels meaningful
I work integratively, drawing on person-centred therapy, CBT, and mindfulness techniques to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or simply seeking a space to reflect and grow, I'm here to support you.
My Philosophy
I believe that healing isn't about becoming someone new it's about rediscovering who you've always been beneath the layers of pain, fear, and expectation. It's about learning to trust yourself again, to honour your feelings, and to move forward with compassion and courage.
You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to be "fixed." You just have to be willing to take the first step and I'll be right there with you, every step of the way.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and bring over three years of clinical experience with In Charlie's Memory, where I supported children, young people, and adults through loss and emotional difficulty. I also facilitated a youth group, creating a supportive space where young people could build confidence, resilience, and trust in themselves.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a beauty and massage therapist. This experience gave me a strong understanding of the mind–body connection and how stress, trauma, and emotional strain can be held physically. This awareness continues to shape my work, allowing me to support clients in a way that feels grounded, holistic, and deeply attuned.
I now work in private practice offering a warm, compassionate space where you can speak freely and feel genuinely heard. My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your choices, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
