About me

I work with people who don’t feel ‘good enough’ to realise their worth and discover true confidence. Are you overwhelmed and exhausted by life? Filled with anxiety and constantly wasting your energy worrying you’re not good enough or disappointing people? Feeling empty and disconnected and wondering why other people seem to have an easier time of it than you?

Maybe you can’t quite put your finger on what the problem is, but you know something isn’t quite right. Perhaps you’ve even lost your sense of who you are.

You don’t have to feel like this. When life feels too much, we all need a helping hand. Let me be that helping hand. Together we can work towards confidence, calmness, self-esteem and improved relationships in every area of your life. I want you to feel confident and that you can handle anything that happens.

I can help to get to the root of low self-esteem, low self-confidence, trauma and anxiety, so you can feel worthy to focus on how to get what you need. It isn't your fault and there is nothing wrong with you - it is what you have experienced.

I work in a proactive and collaborative way to help you find clarity and insight, whilst empowering you to feel better and help you to move forward. I will help you to reflect on what you are experiencing and to look at ways you might understand things better. We will work together to help you find your own inner resources and strengths.

Whatever you come to counselling for, whether you're affected by a build up of day-to-day stresses or a major life event, I offer a non-judgemental confidential space where you matter and feel valued.

My experience and varied methods of working help me to get to the root of issues as quickly as possible. As well as giving you tools to help yourself, I will also work with you to get to the root for long lasting change.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

What happens next?

Finding a counsellor you feel comfortable with is really important and not every counsellor will be right for you. I offer a free phone call where you can discuss what you are hoping to get from counselling and whether what I can offer is appropriate. This gives you a chance to get a feel for if we can work well together.

To find out more and to book an initial meeting please email me or phone 07917 358672. I usually reply within a few hours.
