Joy Trevivian Counsellor MBACP Accredited
My name is Joy Trevivian and I'm a qualified, registered and BACP Accredited Counsellor.
Whatever you come to counselling for, whether you're affected by a build up of day-to-day stresses or a major life event, I offer a non-judgemental confidential space where you matter and feel valued. I will help you with whatever it is that is holding you back from living life to the full. I offer person-centred counselling, helping you to reflect on what you are experiencing and to look at ways you might understand your difficulties better. We will work together to help you find your own inner resources and strengths and to explore how to achieve your hopes. I feel that my wide range of life experiences and dealing with adversity in my own life helps me relate well to others in an honest and down-to-earth way.
I work from rooms in Filton, BS34 and Westbury-on-Trym, BS10. I generally have availability on Monday and Tuesday evenings and Thursday and Friday day times.
Finding a counsellor you feel comfortable with is really important and not every counsellor will be right for you. I offer an initial session where you can meet me and discuss what you are hoping to get from counselling and whether what I can offer is appropriate. This gives you a chance meet me and to get a feel for what I am offering and if you feel we can work well together. I am passionate about my work and really enjoy helping people on their path to hope and happiness. I enjoy running, yoga, baking, reading and sewing clothes.
