About me
I provide therapy for those affected by childhood trauma and attachment difficulties. This might be rooted in parental separation or neglect, caregivers with alcohol and other substance dependency, or loss and grief. I also work with people who carry a sense of sadness and dissatisfaction and want to find a space to talk and express difficult feelings.
My background is in the arts, and I have a particular interest in creative expression as a process for communicating thoughts and emotions. I have extensive experience working with the challenges faced by creative professionals and performers.
I also have knowledge and experience of neurodivergent-affirming supportive practice, as well as supporting those who live with, and care for, neurodivergent family members or partners.
As a qualified Psychodynamic therapeutic counsellor, registered with both the BACP and UKCP. I have experience working with people whose lives are affected by:
- depression
- anxiety
- grief
- harmful relationships
- historical trauma
- identity and self-image
My training is in Psychodynamic therapeutic counselling, which seeks to find new understanding through collaborative discussion and thought. We will pay close attention to the story of your life as we explore memories and emotions together, however they appear. I will help you look for connections between your experiences, your family, other close relationships, and current state of mind.
I will offer you a confidential space where you are invited to bring your thoughts and feelings, whether they be related to that morning, six months ago, or fifteen years ago. Through exploring your experience, we might find new understanding about current struggles you might have in relationships, at work, or in day-to-day life in general. This understanding can then help you build towards a more hopeful future.
Our initial session is a chance to meet for the first time and assess whether my style of therapy will be a good fit for you. We will discuss what you hope might happen in the course of our work together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
