About me
I'd like to help you if you are looking to learn more about yourself, learn to navigate through life's difficulties in more conscious ways, find more contentment and acceptance, and develop more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others. My passion is to empower you to trust your inner voice, accept your uniqueness and discover yourself wholly as an individual, within your family, your work, community, and ultimately, the world. Being a humanist at heart, I believe that everyone has the capacity to change.
I bring a gentle and empathic presence, where no story or difficulty is too small or too big to share and there is no judgement. In the sessions, I can help you discover what may be holding you back from living your life to the fullest potential..
How I work
I combine Person-centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic approaches in my practice. In the sessions, I will sit alongside you, often looking at early experiences to bring understanding that can help to initiate positive changes. If you would find it helpful, we may try some breathing and body awareness exercises, visualisations or gentle movement. These techniques can help bring the focus to your experience in the here-and-now and connect with the emotions or parts of yourself that may have been deeply hidden. I may also use family systems tools to bring understanding of relationship dynamics.
What I offer
I offer short or long-term therapy, depending on your needs, face-to-face, online or walk-and-talk sessions. To get a flavour how we could work together, I offer a 20-min, free of charge, call. You can call me or email to arrange the call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered Integrative Therapist and I uphold the BACP code of ethics and best practice.
I have experience working with the NHS (National Health Service) Talking Therapies, seeing a range of clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive behaviours, trauma, grief, work related stress and relationship difficulties.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
