About me
Welcome to My Counselling Practice
Your experiences, feelings and wellbeing matter. My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood and supported.
My name is John Bosco, and I am a qualified counsellor with over 15 years of experience supporting people through challenging life circumstances. I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when you are experiencing relationship difficulties, emotional distress, grief or uncertainty about the future.
My Approach to Counselling
I offer an integrative approach to counselling, drawing on different therapeutic perspectives and techniques to understand your individual experiences and respond to your needs. I recognise that everyone has a unique story, and there is no single approach that works for everyone.
Our work together will be guided by your circumstances, personal goals and what feels most helpful to you. I aim to create a supportive environment where you can explore your concerns openly and at your own pace.
Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of your emotions, recognise patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing and explore new ways of approaching life's challenges.
Relationship and Couples Counselling
I have a particular interest in supporting individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, broken trust, infidelity, communication problems and emotional disconnection.
In couples counselling, we can explore relationship challenges, improve communication, understand each other's perspectives and consider ways to rebuild trust and emotional connection. My aim is to help couples understand the difficulties they face and explore healthier ways of relating to one another.
Individual Counselling and Emotional Wellbeing
I welcome individuals who wish to explore anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, emotional distress and the impact of past experiences on their present lives.
Counselling can provide an opportunity to process difficult experiences, establish healthier boundaries, reconnect with personal strengths and develop a better understanding of yourself.
Taking the First Step
I recognise that taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. You do not need to have all the answers before beginning. My role is to listen with empathy, understand your perspective and work collaboratively with you towards goals that reflect your individual needs.
Whether you are facing a difficult period in your life or hoping to build healthier relationships, I aim to offer a space where you feel heard, respected and supported.
Building back stronger begins with understanding yourself. If you feel ready to explore what counselling could offer you, I welcome you to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor with a TCL4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Northwest London College, completed in 2026. I have also obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Couples Therapy and Counselling through the Quality Licence Scheme and completed bereavement training in 2025.
I bring over 15 years of experience supporting vulnerable adults, older people and individuals experiencing challenging life circumstances and complex emotional needs. This experience has strengthened my understanding of the importance of empathy, patience, respect and providing support that recognises each person's individual circumstances.
My counselling approach is integrative, drawing on different therapeutic perspectives to help clients explore their emotions, understand their experiences and identify ways to move forward. I aim to tailor my work to each client's needs, personal goals and circumstances.
I have a particular interest in relationship and couples counselling, including difficulties involving communication, broken trust, infidelity and emotional disconnection. I am also interested in supporting individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, low self-esteem and the emotional impact of past experiences.
I believe that counselling can provide an opportunity for self-discovery, personal growth and meaningful change. My aim is to offer a supportive, compassionate and non-judgemental environment in which clients can explore their concerns and work towards greater emotional wellbeing and healthier relationships.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard, understood and supported through life's challenges. My counselling practice, guided by compassion, empathy and an integrative approach, aims to provide a safe and respectful space where individuals and couples can explore their concerns without fear of judgement.
I understand that seeking counselling can feel difficult, particularly when you are experiencing relationship problems, emotional pain, grief or uncertainty about the future. You may feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to change or struggle to make sense of your feelings. Together, we can explore these experiences, identify your strengths and consider new ways of moving forward.
My approach recognises that every person and relationship is unique. I respect your individual values, experiences and choices, and I aim to work collaboratively with you at a pace that feels comfortable.
My philosophy is reflected in my theme, Building Back Stronger. I believe that, with the right support and opportunity for reflection, people can develop greater self-awareness, establish healthier boundaries and discover new possibilities for their lives and relationships.
You do not need to have everything figured out before seeking support. Taking the first step can be the beginning of a journey towards greater understanding, confidence and emotional wellbeing. I welcome the opportunity to support you as you work towards the changes that matter most to you.
