About me
Accredited counsellor specialising in working with anxiety, depression and addiction. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, accepted and understood. I firmly believe that when we are met with genuine empathic understanding and non judgement, meaningful change becomes possible.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic counsellor in the city of Bristol and hold qualifications in Pluralistic, Psycho-therapeutic and addiction counselling. I am a member on the accredited National counselling and Psychotherapy society register, working privately from the practice rooms in both the Clifton and Westbury-on-Trym areas of Bristol and online.
My approach as a Psycho-therapeutic counsellor is Pluralistic, which means I believe there isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. Instead, we will work together in a truly collaboratively way, with the objective of finding what feels most helpful to you as an individual experiencing therapy. Along the way, we will draw on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches to tailor our work to suit your individual needs, preferences, and goals.
At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, accepted and understood. I firmly believe that when we are met with genuine empathy, honesty, and unconditional positive regard, meaningful change becomes possible.
I work from a trauma-informed perspective with over 200 hours of clinical experience; very much working with your 'here and now experience', moving at your pace and supporting you to explore any recent or reccuring anxiety, notice and become more aware of patterns of thoughts and behaviours, make sense of your lived experiences and reconnect with your authentic self.
Working together in this way, you can gently navigate challenges, build self-awareness and find ways forward that feel right for you.
