About me

I support individuals and couples through life’s challenges, enabling greater insight, emotional resilience, and stronger relationships.

For individuals, I offer a calm and supportive space for you to explore difficult feelings or relationship challenges. You might be feeling anxious, are grieving, overwhelmed by life, low in mood, or in deep despair. Whatever you’re facing, I am here to support you through a difficult time.

For couples, I help you navigate communication breakdowns, rebuild trust after an infidelity, explore intimacy issues, or manage recurring conflict. Perhaps your shared goals have changed, or you have grown distant from each other.

Relationships can be the most complex and challenging areas of our lives. Taking a look at your issues in couples therapy can help you better understand each other, strengthen your relationship, or explore the possibilities of a divorce.

As someone who has also benefited from therapy, I know how important it is to truly feel heard, and the therapists who I felt most connected to helped me find my own voice. This is the approach that I bring to each client, to listen with curiosity, staying attuned to your unique perspective.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

When working with Individuals, as an integrative counsellor, I use a variety of approaches to work with you. Humanistic counselling forms the foundation of my approach, emphasising that you take the lead in our sessions. I will listen non-judgmentally, be honest and genuine with you, and strive to fully understand what it is like to experience your situation.

Sometimes I work in the present moment, inviting you to explore physical sensations to uncover hidden emotions or regulate your nervous system if you feel overwhelmed. I am a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher with ten years experience, and bringing bodily awareness into the therapy room can be a natural and effective complement to our work together.

When working with couples, I will suggest strategies to help you navigate your relationship dynamics. This often involves asking you both questions and encouraging you to communicate directly with each other to help you both to feel active and engaged in the process.
