About me
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor with a diverse educational, professional, and life experience. Grounded in a humanistic approach, I value each person’s unique experiences and believe that whatever you bring to counselling is not “too much” and deserves to be met with care, respect, and curiosity.
I work bilingually and bring a multicultural background to my practice, offering a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what has brought you to counselling. I foster a deep commitment to walking alongside others with honesty and compassion, supporting you at your own pace.
I believe strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate growth, self-discovery, and healing. My aim is to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences, knowing that you will be met with understanding and care.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained in Integrative Counselling, achieving a Level 4 Diploma at the Life-Force School of Counselling in Colchester. As part of my qualification, I undertook a clinical placement with Dynamic Counselling in Great Dunmow, Essex, where I gained valuable hands-on experience working with clients in a supportive and supervised setting. I also hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, and I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I am currently working towards accreditation in my private practice and support clients who come to therapy for a wide range of reasons, including anxiety, low mood, sadness, stress, difficulties coping, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, experiences of trauma, and identity-related concerns.
I work in accordance with the BACP ethical framework and professional standards. I am also fully insured and receive regular clinical supervision, ensuring that my practice is safe, ethical, and reflective.
I have a strong interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds, particularly those struggling with issues around identity, belonging, and the emotional impact of migration or living between cultures. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed additional training in trauma awareness and trauma-informed practice, which informs my work and supports me in working ethically and sensitively with clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
