About me

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist offering calm, compassionate support for adults navigating a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My work is grounded in the belief that our emotional responses often make sense when understood in the context of our life experiences, particularly loss, illness, prolonged stress, and unresolved experiences from earlier life.

I have particular experience working with bereavement, cancer and health-related challenges, stress and anxiety, and with individuals affected by unresolved childhood or earlier life experiences. Alongside my private practice, I am a volunteer counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Support and Cancer Support Yorkshire, which continues to inform and deepen my work with clients affected by loss and illness.

I work with clients both in person and remotely, offering flexibility to suit individual needs and circumstances, including evening and weekend appointments. My approach is relational, trauma-aware, and collaborative, and I work at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

I aim to provide a calm, non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and able to explore difficult experiences safely.
