About me
If you're looking for a therapist who knows what it's like to struggle with mental health issues and chronic illness, I'm glad you're here.
I offer a relaxed, no pressure environment where we can explore your concerns at your own pace. I incorporate both the mind and body in my approach so that we can create nervous system safety and body healing as well as working with thoughts, feelings and emotions.
If you're looking for a non-judgemental, open-minded therapist who shows up as her authentic self, respects your pace and individual journey but knows when to challenge you, please get in touch.
My Journey
I have a personal history of depression, anxiety, emetophobia, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Additionally, since being diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME), I've been on my own healing journey which has provided me with a deep personal understanding of the daily struggles, systemic barriers, invalidation and frustration that comes with being chronically ill.
I know how important it is to feel understood by your therapist and my personal experiences of mental health issues and chronic illnesses help me to provide that understanding.
Sessions
I currently offer online sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis. I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation in which we can have an informal chat about the way I work, your therapy goals and I can answer any questions you may have. There is absolutely no pressure after this consultation to book a session and if either of us feel it's not the right fit, I'll do my best to signpost you to alternative therapists that might be better suited.
