About me
Integrative Counsellor and Somatic Trauma Therapist
I’m Jenny, and I offer talk therapies tailored to each individual’s requirements. Working together, I aim to empower clients through personal growth and self-compassion. I can help you build resilience and positive mental well-being, to hold space for you to discover your authentic self, feel more fulfilled in your life and relationships, and create meaningful change.
I work with both adults and children across a wide range of issues including: childhood trauma, domestic abuse, narcissistic abuse, coercive control, grief, anxiety, depression, bullying, relationship difficulties (family, friendships, work, partners etc), bereavement, loss, identity, LGBTQ+ issues, neurodiversity, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
I see clients in-person at The Centre for Counselling, as well as online.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I work in a client-led way to put your needs at the heart of our sessions. Our work together may include a range of techniques and skills to help you process difficult experiences and feelings, and identify healthy coping mechanisms to manage any challenges you may be experiencing. This can include: Person-centred therapy, CBT , Psychodynamic therapy and holistic interventions such as guided imagery, breathwork or mindfulness.
When working in a trauma-informed capacity, I work somatically with the mind-body connection to foster self-awareness and body wisdom – helping you to establish a felt-sense of safety, integrate healthy coping skills and resilience into your life and thrive. I work within a three-phase trauma model using counselling skills, somatic practices and psychoeducation to help you better understand your fight/flight/freeze response, expand your Window of Tolerance, and safely process your T/trauma(s) and lived experiences.
I adhere to the BACP code of ethics, have an enhanced DBS certificate, safeguarding training and professional liability insurance.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
