About me

Hi there, I’m Jen (she/her), a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with 10 years experience working in mental health. I work online and in-person at Space To Be You Therapy Rooms in Hackney (E8). I'm warm, friendly and kind- qualities I bring to therapy.

I understand that life experiences and relationships can sometimes feel confusing, distressing, or overwhelming. In therapy, I aim to offer a gentle, supportive space where we can explore your challenges together.

I believe in the power of compassionate, non-judgemental conversations that can support you to live in alignment with your values and transform how you interact with yourself and the world. My approach is rooted in trust and affirmation of all identities, including sexuality and gender, with change unfolding at your own pace and in ways that feel meaningful to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

A HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, I am experienced in using evidence-based psychological therapy tailored to your needs. I have expertise in a wide range of difficulties including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression and low mood
  • Self-esteem difficulties
  • Relationship and identity issues (including LGBTQI+)
  • Difficulties related to sexuality and gender
  • Life transitions
  • Grief and loss
  • Living with HIV
  • Sexual health difficulties and psychosexual work

I work integratively across different approaches depending on what is the best fit for you. However, my main approaches are Narrative Therapy, attachment-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Systemic. I offer online sessions or in person in East London.

I have experience working with trans and non-binary clients and with people exploring their gender. I have experience working with people involved with sex work, with chemsex, people living with HIV and sexual health difficulties. I take an affirmative stance to kink, sex work and different relationship structures including non-monogamy.

Thanks for reading my profile- please get in touch if you would like a free 20 minute initial consultation. I offer both online and in-person sessions at Space To Be You Therapy Rooms, Hackney (E8).

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
