About me
I offer a safe space for you to explore whatever it is you'd like to focus on. I’m an integrative therapist, where I use a range of theoretical, therapeutic frameworks to help support you in moving forwards. This may be a challenging time for you with significant relationships or you may be experiencing low mood or anxiety. Having the support of an empathic and compassionate person can help enormously in processing difficult or traumatic experiences.
How therapy can help
It may feel daunting to take the next step of accessing therapy, involving a courageous step for you to make contact, yet the rewards can be huge. Having a confidential, safe space where you’re free to share your fears, doubts, hopes and dreams, without judgement is a powerful experience. It can be healing, soothing and give you clarity about how to move forwards.
Relationships
If you’re experiencing relational issues, such as grief from losing a loved one, the loss of a relationship or friendship, or facing difficulties at work, then I can offer the time and commitment to support you through these challenging times. Often, relationships can become troubling and conflictual, and this can affect us deeply. Having some support to navigate through these difficulties can be hugely beneficial.
Emotional Support
If you’re wanting to increase your emotional wellbeing, improve your mood or lower anxiety levels, then talking through what’s affecting you can be extremely helpful. Low mood and anxiety can often make life feel difficult, and together we can find strategies to help.
If daily life is feeling tricky, or you're feeling triggered, we can help unpack and untangle things to find a smoother way forwards. Sometimes, a little input with learning new techniques to emotionally regulate more effectively, and strategies to help us cope better with increasing our resilience, can be life-changing.
I work with individual adults: to support you through difficult relational experiences such as separation or bereavement, or coping with personal, emotional challenges such as unhappiness, low self-esteem or confidence building. If life is feeling confusing or overwhelming, we can work together to regain clarity and calm. Therapy can be highly effective for improving our sense of self, re-discovering our sense of purpose, and developing resources and strategies to help us through the difficult times.
I work with young people: to help them gain understanding about their changing world from childhood to adulthood, and how this impacts on familial relationships, as well as their developing sense of self. Sometimes school, college life, or academic pressures can be stressful and overwhelming and counselling can offer an outlet for managing this. I understand how adolescence can be a turbulent time, and can offer support to young people over the age of 12 years old.
I work with couples and families: to help support you through communication difficulties, conflict resolution, how to move forwards following a betrayal, or how to navigate through significant life stages. I understand how dealing with unexpected, or even chosen changes can feel overwhelming and present challenges for us.
How therapy works
Therapy can be the most beneficial when there is a commitment from each of us to work together regularly. This can be weekly, bi-weekly, or fortnightly to suit you. By building a trusting relationship together, this can be the foundation for you to reach your potential for well-being and finding positive change.
Sometimes one or two sessions can be enough to gain the support you need. We can discuss what your preferences are and tailor your session(s) for you.
What to expect in your first session
We'll talk, with the focus will be on exploring how things are for you, and what has been bothering you. You may not know exactly what this is, and this is okay - we will explore together to help you get some clarity.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
