About me

Available for face-to-face, online and telephone counselling

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to face life's challenges alone. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, holding a BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Counselling Children and Young People. While my specialist training and passion lie in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults, I work effectively with clients across all age groups, helping them navigate emotional difficulties, life transitions, relationships, trauma, and personal growth.

These approaches include:

  • Person-Centred Therapy
  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Play and Creative Therapy
  • Systemic and Family-Informed Approaches
  • Relational Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or a young person in your care, I provide a safe, confidential environment where difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be explored without fear of judgement.

Areas I Can Help With

I work with a wide range of issues including:

  • Anxiety and panic
  • Stress and overwhelm
  • Depression and low mood
  • Self-esteem and confidence difficulties
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • Abuse and adverse childhood experiences
  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Family and relationship difficulties
  • Identity and self-discovery
  • Neurodiversity, including autism
  • OCD and intrusive thoughts
  • Self-harm and emotional dysregulation
  • Addiction and substance misuse
  • School, college and university pressures
  • Workplace stress and career challenges
  • Menopause and life transitions
  • Health-related concerns and chronic illness
  • Working with Children and Young People

My specialist MSc training enables me to work therapeutically with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing emotional, behavioural, and relationship difficulties. I understand that young people often communicate their experiences differently from adults, which is why I draw on creative, relational, and age-appropriate interventions to help them express thoughts and feelings safely.

I support young people struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, friendship difficulties, family challenges, school-related stress, trauma, emotional regulation, and significant life changes. I also work collaboratively with parents and carers where appropriate to ensure young people receive the support they need.

What You Can Expect from Me

Clients often describe me as approachable, empathetic, genuine, and easy to talk to. I believe that healing and growth happen within safe, trusting relationships, and I aim to create a therapeutic space where you feel accepted exactly as you are.

Whether you are looking for short-term support focused on a specific issue or longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and experiences, I will work alongside you at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.

My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you gain greater understanding of yourself, build resilience, develop coping strategies, and move towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
