BA Hons, NCPS Accred Counsellor & Psychotherapist

About me

As an accredited and fully insured counsellor and psychotherapist with over 10 years experience, I offer bespoke integrative online therapy tailored to your unique needs.  My areas of special interest include eating disorders, obesity and weight management, toxic relationship issues such as emotional abuse and setting boundaries, and Christian faith based counselling.

What is your approach?

My approach draws on a range of evidence-informed techniques, including:

  • Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Person-centred therapy
  • Motivational and Socratic questioning
  • Cognitive restructuring

You won’t receive a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I’ll work collaboratively with you to deepen your self-understanding, gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and support you in building tools to for resilience and change.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy that offers a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s a chance to reflect, gain clarity, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

People come to counselling for many different reasons, including:

  • Stress, anxiety or low mood
  • Loss or bereavement
  • Relationship challenges
  • Trauma or difficult past experiences
  • Low confidence or self-esteem
  • Feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed
  • Desire to change unhealthy habits

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy — sometimes just having the space to talk openly and gain self awareness can be transformative.

What can I expect in the first session?

Your first counselling session is an opportunity to get to know each other, and introduce the practicalities of how we’ll work together .

We will talk through what’s brought you to therapy, and discuss any questions you may have.  You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and we will explore what you might like to gain from therapy and how we could work together to support that.

I will explain the confidentiality contract, and practical details like session timings and fees.  By the end of the session, you'll have a clear sense of how we can work together and what the therapeutic process will involve. We’ll outline some next steps and, if you're happy to continue, we will arrange the next session.

Training, qualifications & experience

My background includes working with the Cithrah Foundation which is a charity supporting those affected by domestic abuse, where I provided a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their experiences and begin the healing process. In addition, I have worked in private practise, conducting both face to face and remote counselling sessions for a range of issues.
