About me
Psychotherapy for adults who are tired of holding everything together while anxiety, self-doubt or familiar relationship patterns continue underneath.
You may appear capable, caring and composed on the outside while privately carrying anxiety, emotional exhaustion, low mood or a persistent sense of disconnection from yourself. Perhaps you understand your patterns intellectually but still find it difficult to respond differently in relationships, express your needs or trust your own judgement.
You may be navigating people-pleasing, over-functioning or difficulty setting boundaries; relationship and family patterns; burnout or a significant life transition; grief; chronic illness or pain; or questions of meaning, identity and belonging.
I am Jamila Andersson, a UKCP-registered Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist and founder of Remember Who We Are Therapy. I offer a consistent, thoughtful space to slow down and understand what you are carrying.
In a first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you may be hoping for and any questions you have about the process. You can share at a pace that feels manageable; there is no pressure to speak about anything before you are ready. We can also consider how we might work together and whether my approach feels like a suitable fit.
Therapy is not about forcing change or finding a quick explanation. Together, we can explore your emotional life, relationships and protective patterns so that different choices may gradually become possible.
How I work
My approach is relational, integrative, trauma-informed and body-aware. We can attend not only to thoughts, but also emotions, relationships and the ways stress or feelings may be experienced physically. I draw on psychodynamic, humanistic, Gestalt and transpersonal psychotherapy.
Sessions are primarily conversational. Where it feels useful, and always with your agreement, our work may include present-moment awareness, imagery, metaphor, dreams or creative exploration. Culture, identity, spirituality, family history and experiences of belonging or exclusion can be part of therapy when they matter to you, without becoming the sole focus.
I aim to meet you as a whole person, without reducing you to a diagnosis, identity or single story. What you share in our sessions is treated with respect and confidentiality.
I offer weekly 50-minute online psychotherapy across the UK and a limited number of in-person appointments in Paddington, London W2. Online sessions are £80 and in-person sessions are £90. I do not currently have any concessionary or reduced-fee places available, as these are fully allocated.
You are welcome to book a free 15-minute introductory consultation through my website to ask practical questions and see whether my approach and an available weekly appointment feel like a suitable fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London.
I am a UKCP-registered Psychotherapist and Full Clinical Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. My work is supported by regular clinical supervision, continuing professional development, and adherence to UKCP professional and ethical standards.
Alongside my clinical practice, I facilitate reflective learning spaces and workshops for therapists and other professionals. This work, together with my ongoing professional development, informs my thoughtful approach to culture, difference, power and intersectional experience within the therapeutic relationship.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
