About me
Hello, I’m Jamie, a HCPC-registered Principal Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the NHS. I specialise in supporting adults facing challenges like anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, and trauma. Alongside my NHS role, I run a private practice in Bexleyheath, Kent, where I provide tailored, evidence-based therapy in a compassionate, confidential setting.
Therapy is a journey we take together, helping you move from where you are now to where you want to be. My approach is warm, non-judgemental, and collaborative, respecting each person's unique needs and goals. I aim to empower you with the skills and insights to better manage distress, reduce anxiety, and enhance your overall quality of life. Therapy can bring immediate relief, like reduced anxiety and lifted mood, and foster lasting change through improved self-understanding and resilience.
I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and, as an accredited Mentalization-Based Therapist (MBT), I also incorporate techniques to build mentalising skills. This allows each session to be uniquely suited to you, working at a pace that feels right for you.
What to Expect When You Reach Out
When you reach out, I’ll respond promptly to arrange a brief phone consultation to discuss your goals and how therapy may help. In our first session, we’ll explore whether we’re a good fit, with no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right. If we do proceed, we’ll create a personalised plan focused on the areas most important to you, guiding your therapeutic journey step-by-step.
I’m here to support you, and I look forward to helping you take this positive step forward.
