Supervision details
As a Principal Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience in the NHS, I offer reflective and supportive supervision to psychologists, psychotherapists, and counsellors at all stages of their careers. My approach to supervision is grounded in the same compassion, curiosity, and professionalism that guide my therapeutic work, creating a space for you to explore and grow both personally and professionally.
My supervision style is collaborative and adaptable, shaped by my extensive experience working with a range of clinicians. I understand the complexities and challenges faced by those in clinical practice, whether you’re navigating complex cases, deepening your therapeutic skills, or seeking to refine your professional identity. My aim is to foster an open, safe space for you to reflect on your practice, explore alternative perspectives, and develop confidence and flexibility in your approach.
In supervision, I draw from multiple therapeutic models, including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT). This integrative stance allows me to tailor our sessions to your specific needs and therapeutic orientation, supporting both evidence-based practice and personal insight. We’ll work together to enrich your understanding of therapeutic processes, navigate transference and countertransference, and address any challenges that arise in your client work.
Whether you are an early-career therapist or a seasoned professional, my goal is to provide the guidance, encouragement, and structured reflection necessary to help you offer your clients the best possible care.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
