About me

I understand that life isn’t always a straight path. In my early years, I was expelled from school and made mistakes, but through therapy I turned my life around, attended university, and built a career dedicated to helping others. This personal transformation fuels my passion for supporting those who feel misunderstood or overlooked.

Before qualifying, I worked as a youth and support worker with young offenders, gangs, and individuals with autism, ADHD, and mental health challenges. At age 29, I was diagnosed with ADHD, ASD, and Dyspraxia myself. This lived experience deepened my perspective and inspired my focus on neurodiversity, helping children, teenagers, and adults better understand themselves, build coping strategies, and move toward self-acceptance.

With over 10 years of practice and 4,000+ client hours, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to the therapeutic space.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is primarily rooted in Existential Psychotherapy, which explores meaning, freedom, responsibility, and authenticity. This approach helps us move beyond symptoms and reflect on how you experience yourself, relationships, and the world.

To enrich this work, I integrate other approaches:

  • Gestalt Therapy: Building awareness of present thoughts and feelings while addressing the past.
  • Person-Centred Therapy: Providing empathy, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Offering tools to recognise and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy: Highlighting strengths and resources to encourage realistic steps forward.
  • I use these approaches flexibly, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs. For some, therapy is reflective and exploratory; for others, it is a practical space to build strategies for daily life.

Areas of Expertise

  • Neurodivergence: ADHD, ASD, Dyspraxia
  • Addictions: Gambling, substance misuse, dependency (NHS Addictions Service experience)
  • Mental Health: Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline/EUPD
  • Specialised Areas: Relationship issues, anger and aggression, men’s emotional wellbeing, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, suicidal thoughts, and LGBTQ+ identities

Why Work With Me?

I know how much courage it takes to reach out for therapy, especially if you’ve often felt misunderstood. My commitment is to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your challenges safely and openly. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, reflect on identity and relationships, and develop strategies for living with greater clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

If you’re ready to begin this journey, I’d be honoured to support you every step of the way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

I work exclusively online, providing therapy for clients across the UK and abroad. This means you can access support from the comfort, privacy, and safety of your own home, wherever you are in the world. For many people, online therapy offers a convenient and flexible alternative to face-to-face sessions, reducing barriers such as travel, time pressures, and geographical distance.

Sessions are held via a secure video platform, and I aim to make the process as straightforward as possible. All you need is a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection. Many of my clients appreciate the flexibility this offers, whether they are based in the UK, living abroad, or balancing therapy alongside work, family, and other commitments.

For neurodivergent clients, online therapy can be particularly beneficial, as it allows sessions to take place in a familiar environment that feels safe and comfortable. I understand that traditional therapy settings can sometimes feel overwhelming or inaccessible, and working online creates more space for you to engage in a way that suits your needs.

I also work with children and teenagers, supporting them with issues such as ADHD, ASD, anxiety, school-related difficulties, and relationships. When appropriate, and only with the agreement of the child or young person, I may involve parents or carers in the therapeutic process. This can provide a more supportive environment at home and strengthen the strategies we develop together in sessions.

I offer both daytime and evening appointments to provide choice and flexibility. Sessions typically last 50/60 minutes, and we can agree on a pace and frequency that feels right for you  whether that means weekly, fortnightly, or something more tailored.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, supportive, and adaptable. Therapy with me can be reflective, focusing on identity, values, and relationships, or it can be practical, offering coping strategies and tools for daily life. Sometimes it is a blend of both, depending on what is most helpful for you.

I aim to create a safe and collaborative space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered. Online therapy offers flexibility and accessibility, helping you connect with support wherever you are and making it easier to build meaningful, lasting change.
