About me

I am an HCPC registered counselling psychologist. I bring warmth, enthusiasm and challenge to my practice, informed by research evidence and a deep commitment to the therapeutic relationship.

I see clients from my rooms in SE15 as well as remotely. Please get in touch to book an initial introductory conversation. We can think together about what you are looking for and whether working with me would be a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

I use a pluralistic approach. This means that I am trained and have practised in a range of therapy models including person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT and systemic therapies. How I use these is tailored to your specific difficulties and what best suits your needs. Though I use my expertise to determine what would best fit, it is also important to me to involve you in this conversation.

Having worked in mental health for the past ten years across a variety of NHS settings, I can help address a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders, phobias, grief, depression and low mood, addiction, compulsive behaviours and relationship difficulties.

I also provide couples therapy to help overcome interpersonal conflicts and difficulties. Having completed my doctoral research in this area, I have a particular specialism in working with couples and individuals experiencing sexual difficulties. This includes sexual dysfunction, low desire, compulsive or addictive sexual behaviours.

Having worked at an LGBTQ+ focussed NHS psychosexual service, I am sensitive to difficulties associated with sexuality and gender diversity, as well as non-traditional relationship arrangements and the full spectrum of sexual practices.

Alongside my private practice, I currently work at King's College Hospital as a specialist psychologist supporting those diagnosed with sickle cell disease. There, I work with the psychological impact of acute and chronic health difficulties, health-based trauma and health inequalities.

If you're interested in working together, please get in touch for an online assessment session. We can then discuss your difficulties and whether I feel I would be the right person to help, as well as giving you the opportunity to see if you feel the relationship would be a good fit.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
