About me

Most people come to me when something doesn't feel right in their lives. Maybe you are going through a tough transition, dealing with trauma, feeling disconnected from yourself or struggling to express who you are. Anxiety, depression or some physical discomfort can be signals telling us that we need to change something in our lives. In my experience, I have seen how people can uncover their inner strengths, wisdom and capacity to heal from pain when given a supportive environment for self-exploration. My role is to create that space for you, one that is compassionate, warm and free of judgement.

How we will work together

I will provide a safe and supportive space where you can tell your story, explore your past and make sense of your experiences. We will pay close attention to recurring patterns in your relationships, emotions and behaviours so you can gain a clearer understanding of how they impact your present situation. I will encourage you to express your feelings and reconnect with your authentic self, the person beneath the layers of inhibitions, impositions and expectations that may have accumulated over time.

I believe that healing unfolds through relationship. In our work together, the therapeutic space becomes a place where patterns of closeness, distance, and belonging can be recognised and consciously reworked. Our sessions will offer space for reflection and exploration of how you relate to yourself and with others.

Through gently challenging self-limiting thoughts and behaviour patterns, I will help you shift them and create space for lasting change. We will connect different aspects of your experience, always considering the wider context of your life –family, work and community– so we can understand how these dynamics influence both your struggles and strengths. The process is always collaborative. Some sessions may be more exploratory, while others may include tools, strategies and psychoeducation.

Central to this process is the relationship we build, one where you are fully accepted, encouraged to be yourself and where all parts of you are welcome.

How to start

Please send me an email to schedule a free, 20-minute introductory call. This will give us the chance to talk about what brings you to therapy and for you to ask any questions. There is no obligation to continue - it is important to find a therapist with whom you feel safe and comfortable, so you can openly share what’s on your mind and in your heart.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified therapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Alongside private practice, I worked for a number of years as a university counsellor at the London Interdisciplinary School in Whitechapel. I work best with clients who are looking for sustained, relational work rather than short-term advice or coping strategies alone. Some of my interests include:

  • Low self-worth, people-pleasing/fawning, boundary-setting, and codependent dynamics
  • High-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, procrastination, self-criticism, and impostor syndrome
  • Identity and intersectionality, including work with LGBTQ+ clients
  • Relationship patterns, attachment dynamics, communication issues
  • ADHD, including rejection sensitivity, masking, shame
  • Existential concerns, meaning-making, and life direction

Before I became a therapist, my journey was shaped by a life in music and a deep commitment to meditation and Eastern wisdom traditions. I integrate mindfulness and compassionate awareness into my practice. I believe in recognising and facilitating wholeness in my work and see therapy as a creative process. I commit to showing up to our sessions fully, with openness and respect for all that you are and all the material you bring.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I bring a depth of understanding to multicultural and intersectional identity. I work with the complexities of belonging, cultural code-switching, intergenerational expectations, and the subtle impact of minority stress on self-worth, relationships, and life direction.
