About me

I am a fully qualified, BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor offering one-to-one therapy for adults both online and in-person in London Bridge.

Most people come to me when something doesn't feel right in their lives. Maybe you are going through a tough transition, dealing with trauma, or just feeling stuck. Anxiety, depression or some physical discomfort can be signals telling us that we need to change something in our lives. In my experience, I have seen how people can discover their innate wisdom and healing when given the right environment to explore. My role is to create that space for you, one that is compassionate, warm and free of judgement, where you'll find genuine support as you work towards meaningful and lasting change.

How we will work together

I will provide a safe and supportive space where you can tell your story, explore your past and make sense of your experiences. We will pay attention to recurring patterns in your relationships, emotions and behaviours so you can gain a clearer understanding of how they shape your present. I will encourage you to express your feelings and reconnect with your authentic self, the person beneath the layers of inhibitions, impositions and expectations that may have accumulated over time.

I will gently challenge unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns, helping you shift them and create space for meaningful change. We will connect the dots between different aspects of your experience, always considering the wider context of your life –family, work and community– so we can understand how these dynamics influence both your struggles and strengths. The process is always collaborative. Some sessions may be more exploratory, while others may include tools, strategies and psychoeducation.

Central to this process is the relationship we build, one where you are fully accepted, encouraged to be yourself and where all parts of you are welcome.

How to start

Please book a call directly from this page or email me to schedule a free 20-minute introductory call. This will give us the chance to talk about what brings you to therapy and for you to ask any questions. There is no obligation to continue - it is important to find a therapist with whom you feel safe and comfortable, so you can openly share what’s on your mind and in your heart.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at Heartwood Counselling and Psychotherapy, completing both the Foundation and Advanced Diploma in Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their code of ethics, confidentiality, and continual professional development.

Alongside private practice, I work as a university counsellor at the London Interdisciplinary School in Whitechapel. I have experience working with a wide range of issues across many groups, including ethnic minorities and the LGBTQ+ community. Some of my interests include:

  • Confidence issues, low self-worth, people-pleasing, boundary-setting
  • ADHD management
  • High-functioning anxiety including perfectionism, self-doubt, self-criticism, procrastination and imposter syndrome
  • Issues around identity, cultural & ethnic/gender/intersectionality
  • Existential issues, seeking deeper purpose and meaning

Before I started counselling training, my journey was shaped by a life in music and a deep commitment to meditation and Eastern wisdom traditions. I integrate mindfulness and compassionate awareness into my practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
