About me

 Client Testimonial:

"I formed a strong relationship with Jade very quickly, which has continued to grow over time, to the point that I trust her implicitly and feel able to tell her anything and everything. I feel incredibly heard in our sessions, and she provides the perfect balance of listening to me, and using questions to help me develop further understanding of issues on my own. Although our sessions cover dark and difficult topics, she helps me to see light within them and we are able to laugh and have fun as part of the process. Jade is brilliant at making links between the things I talk about currently, and things I’d told her months ago. This helps things make more sense, and also frequently highlights my progress. She never makes me feel like a problem is too big, or too small. Jade frequently sends me very useful resources that help me to continue the work we do together between sessions. I can see clearly that I am a far better version of myself since starting sessions with Jade."

What to expect in your first session with me:

In your first session I will mainly focus on getting to know you and beginning to understand your experiences and your world. The first session won’t necessarily focus on exploring or solving your difficulties in detail but will allow me to gain insight into you as a person and what has brought you to therapy.  I focus on empowering you and working collaboratively with you to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. I aim to bring an empathic and warming presence to your therapy experience.

How our sessions will help you:

I aim for our sessions to be a collaborative space where you bring the expertise on yourself and your experience and I bring the psychological expertise and provide you with a sense of empowerment, understanding, knowledge and skills/tools you can take into your everyday life to improve your current functioning. I use a flexible approach to ensure we meet your individual needs and goals within sessions and I use an integration of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy & Person-Centred Therapy (Talking Therapy).

I can assist with majority of mental health difficulties (e.g. trauma, anxiety, panic, depression, borderline personality disorder, loss, stress, relationship difficulties) due to vast experience, doctorate level of training and my use of an integration of approaches (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy).

I also have experience of working with high-profile clients, including those within the media or the public eye.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
