About me

I'm an experienced integrative psychotherapist and couples counsellor with a background within the NHS and a domestic and sexual abuse charity. I specialise in helping clients overcome trauma, unhealthy patterns and behaviours, abuse, relationship problems, adoption, health conditions and more.

I provide a safe space to explore and navigate difficult emotions and complexities which are impacting your life/relationship.

Sessions are online or by telephone.

Together, we will work on building a trusting, collaborative connection, enhancing the results of our work. By creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood, we can work through challenging issues to build stronger connections, be it with yourself or within your relationship.

Individual Psychotherapy

My approach is compassionate, relational, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll work to uncover and unpack the root causes of your challenges to find clarity, resilience and a way forward, enabling lasting healing and personal growth. I integrate a range of therapeutic techniques to ensure our sessions feel right for you and to gain the most from our sessions.

Areas I specialise in include:

  • Trauma
  • Abuse (including specialist training in Narcissistic abuse, alongside working for a domestic & sexual abuse charity)
  • Adoption
  • Family Estrangement
  • Health Conditions (including  experience of navigating health situations which are life-changing, such as having a stoma)
  • Maladaptive Behaviours - sensitive coping mechanisms (such as excessive daydreaming - maladaptive daydreaming, intense emotional attachment - limerence, OCD etc)

I appreciate how sensitive and intertwined some challenges can be and welcome clients struggling with issues which have remained misunderstood.

Couples Counselling

I also work with couples who want to improve their relationship, rebuild trust, or deepen their connection. Using the Gottman Method, a research-based approach, I focus on helping couples enhance communication, manage conflict effectively, and strengthen their emotional bond. Together, we’ll explore what works well in your relationship, identify areas for growth and develop practical tools to create lasting changes.  We can also work through any challenges/traumas that may have occurred within the relationship, such as infidelity, trust, and communication breakdowns. My aim is to provide a non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard and supported as they work toward a more fulfilling partnership. You as a couple are my client.

I offer a free introductory call where we can discuss your needs and how we can work together for healing and self-discovery.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
