About me
You might be here because something doesn't feel right anymore, even if you can't quite name it.
Maybe you're exhausted from holding it together on the outside. Maybe you've been through experiences that have shifted who you are, and you're not sure how to find your way back to yourself.
I'm Iva, a BACP-registered integrative counsellor offering sessions in Worthing, and online, across the UK. I work with adults navigating life's complex and painful experiences, from anxiety, depression and grief, to fertility struggles, relationship difficulties, domestic abuse and coercive control, and questions of identity and belonging.
I'm a proud LGBTQ+ ally and welcome clients of all identities and relationship structures in a space that is genuinely inclusive and non-judgmental.
I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work. I understand what it feels like when life shifts in ways you weren't prepared for, and I'm here to be alongside you, no matter how difficult or uncertain it feels.
Who I Work With
People come to me at all kinds of crossroads. Some are in the middle of a major life transition, a career change, a relationship ending, or a move that has left them feeling displaced.
Some are navigating the emotional complexity of fertility treatment or pregnancy loss. Some are trying to make sense of a diagnosis, an identity, or a relationship that no longer fits. Others are finding their way through the aftermath of domestic abuse or coercive control.
Whatever has brought you here, you don't need to have it figured out before we speak.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
I work integratively, drawing on a range of approaches and adapting them to what you need, because no two people or situations are the same.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that feeling genuinely safe, understood and accepted is what makes it possible to explore the things that are difficult to put into words.
My style is warm, down-to-earth and honest. I'll follow your lead while also offering gentle challenge when it feels right.
I am trauma informed in my approach, which means I understand how difficult experiences live in the body, mind and relationships, and I work with all of that with care, compassion and safety.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
