I am IFS informed and I'm currently training as an IFS level 1 therapist.
My areas of specialism include working with people who have experienced complex trauma in early childhood and challenges related to womanhood and motherhood.
I have over 14 years experience working with a diverse range of people of different ages and backgrounds who have experienced complex trauma, grief, loneliness, estrangement from family, addiction, homelessness, conflict, relationship challenges, abuse, questions around identity and purpose, neurodiversity, mental health illness, challenges related to Motherhood and support in personal empowerment.
Organisational experience includes working as a therapist for Respond Charity, NHS, CAMHS and St Mungo's Charity.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Dramatherapist/Creative arts psychotherapist.
My skills and areas of knowledge are rooted in psychotherapy frameworks such as attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, internal family systems, neurobiology and neurodevelopment.
I offer creative processes alongside discussion such as art making, movement, ritual, drama, writing, play and or music, to further explore and support in processing challenging thoughts, feelings and experiences.
This can feel similar to talking therapy, but with the additional option to explore and process in a creative way.
For over 14 years, I have worked with people of different ages and backgrounds who have experienced complex trauma.
I am LGBTQ+ inclusive.
I work in private practice, at the Centre for Whole Health in Bedminster, Bristol and in Yatton, North Somerset.
