About me
What will we talk about in sessions and how can I help you? As well as happiness, human life involves pain. Sometimes you may feel lost in that pain, whether that is family difficulties that overwhelm you, anxiety that feels like it is taking over your life, or depression that creates your darkest days. If you are feeling hopeless and don't know where to begin untangling your mind, I am here to support you on your journey towards peace.
I am a person-centred therapist who specialises in female mental health, predominately in the 18-35 age range. I am experienced working with suicidal thoughts, anxiety and self-esteem, however there is no limit to what we can discuss. There is also no time limit on how long our work may take, be that a few months or many years. I believe in the importance of an authentic, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship between us that is centred around your unique needs.
Part of my role is to deeply, non-judgementally and compassionately listen to what you have to say. I will not immediately jump in with unsolicited advice, or reassurances, or comparisons. I will meet you where you are at, whether you are feeling grief, joy, hope or hopelessness. Therapy is an accepting space where you can discover your true self and in our busy modern lives, sometimes these reflective moments are few and far between.
Carl Rogers, founder of client-centred psychotherapy, believed that developing a close, genuine, communicative relationship with another person meets a deep need in every individual. The therapeutic relationship nurtures this, providing a boundaried space for you to explore yourself and any issues you are facing. I will use my training and experience to guide you on your journey, wherever that may lead. No two people's journeys are the same because no two people are the same.
If you think I may be the right therapist for you and would like to arrange a consultation, please get in touch.

“. . . you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do—
determined to save
the only life that you could save.”

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
