About me

Welcome to Harmony Psychological Services, where I provide a private and compassionate psychological practice for individuals seeking support during challenging times. It’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about where to turn when life becomes unpredictable. If you’re experiencing this, I’m here to help.

As a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Counselling Psychologist and a member of the British Psychological Society, I offer specialised psychological assessment and bespoke therapies tailored to your specific needs. I have worked in a variety of NHS specialist services, including adult eating disorders and perinatal mental health services. Currently, I focus on working with adult clients.

My practice is based on Yarm High Street, and to better accommodate the diverse needs of modern life, I also offer online therapy sessions. This flexible approach ensures that you can access support in a manner that suits your lifestyle.

I am dedicated to building a strong therapeutic relationship, recognising it as the foundation for effective healing. I employ a variety of evidence-based therapies, ensuring our work together is both safe and effective.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward feeling better, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute discovery call. You can easily book this by emailing me or or booking a slot on my profile. I’m here to help you explore the best approach for your journey toward improved well-being.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Trauma, Relationships and The Self
Much of my work centres on the impact of early and recent trauma. I understand how trauma can quietly shape everything- how you see yourself, how you experience relationships and whether life feels satisfying or more like just surviving day-to-day. A large part of my work has been trauma-focussed and my approach aims to help you overcome these challenges.

Perinatal Mental Health
I have specialist experience in supporting women and birthing people during the perinatal period (from pregnancy through to two years postpartum). My focus includes:

- Adjusting to parenthood and identity change
- Addressing pregnancy and birth-related trauma that may affect mental health and wellbeing
- Facilitating bonding with bump and baby

I also provide support for fathers and partners, helping them navigate their roles and experiences during this significant time.
