About me
Life challenges such as grief, trauma, relationship struggles and low self-worth can leave us feeling lost or as though we are failing. My role is to help you understand your experiences and the ways you’ve learned to cope. I offer a calm, supportive and collaborative space where you can feel heard and gently process your story.
Our emotions carry important messages about how we’re really doing and what might need care or attention. In today’s world we’re often encouraged to live in our minds and may learn to push feelings aside or disconnect from our bodies. Over time unprocessed emotions can show up as tension, chronic pain or other physical symptoms. In my work I combine talking therapy with gentle somatic practices that support reconnecting with the body. I may invite you to notice your breath, posture or any sensations that arise as simple and compassionate ways of tuning back into your whole self.
What to expect in a session
- I’ll listen with care and curiosity, giving you space to feel heard and understood.
- We will explore what’s happening in your life and the patterns that may be causing you harm.
- I’ll gently challenge self-limiting thoughts and beliefs.
- We’ll focus on what you’re dealing with right now, while also looking at past experiences that might still be affecting you.
- I’ll pay close attention to what happens between us in the room, as that often gives insight into what’s happening in other parts of your life.
- I’ll offer psychoeducation and further reading/research if helpful.
- We’ll look at the ways you support yourself between sessions, and build on those together.
- I’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy feels supportive and that we’re moving in a direction that feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
