About me
VIDEO ONLINE technology is currently available during this difficult time.
I am an accredited counsellor with over 10 years experience who likes to encourage growth and development within an individual. To do this I focus on self-development and I seek to help individuals recognise their strengths, creativity and choices.
Exploration of difficult issues can be frightening so together we can explore them in a non judgemental way and facilitate change by encouragement and self awareness. I can assist individuals in making sense of confusing or overwhelming emotions, help them to develop resources to cope, gain a deeper understanding of self and how they may relate to others.
I also specialise in working with Young People from the age of 11 years with a view to building self esteem, development of abilities to cope with anxieties, bullying and peer pressure. I have a wealth of experience dealing with Young People who may be having suicidal thoughts, or may be undertaking some sort of self harm. I have experience with running anger management workshops and can work with anger issues on a one to one basis too.
I have training in trauma and have been working throughout the pandemic with Frontline clients. The work has covered a wide range of issues, predominately anxiety and loss and I have worked with NHS staff including nurses, doctors and auxiliary staff.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
