About me
Are you finding it hard to cope, feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or carrying something you can’t quite name?
Perhaps life has taken a direction that's left you feeling lost, or you're holding a lot for the people around you, but quietly struggling yourself.
I work with adults and young people dealing with anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, bereavement, chronic illness, and the aftermath of sexual abuse. I also support many people who are caring for a neurodivergent child or young person with mental health challenges, or an ageing parent — demanding roles that can quietly erode your confidence, wellbeing and sense of self over time.
Balancing the emotional and practical demands of life—whether that’s work, relationships, or caring for others—can feel overwhelming. You may find yourself always putting others first, feeling stuck, misunderstood, unheard, or unsure how to move forward. Having a safe, supportive space to reflect and make sense of your thoughts and feelings can make a real difference.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental environment where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. Together, we can look at the challenges you’re facing, build understanding, and develop tools and strategies that help you to make lasting, meaningful change. By learning to prioritise your own wellbeing, you may also find yourself better able to care for others.
My work is shaped by professional training and experience, alongside lived insight into mental health, personal development, and neurodivergence.
Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling heard, validated, and more hopeful, with a clearer sense of direction and purpose.
I’m registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
What to expect from counselling with me
You'll have the time and space to talk things through, explore what’s going on for you, and understand yourself better. Whatever brings you to therapy, my aim is to help you develop self-acceptance, deepen self-understanding, and build self-esteem, supporting you to make lasting and meaningful change.
My style is active, supportive, and gently challenging, offering new perspectives and ways of thinking. Building a strong, trusting relationship is crucial, and I will always take my lead from you, working together at a pace that feels right for you. I listen with curiosity and without judgement.
I work in an integrative, trauma-informed, neuroaffirmative and inclusive way, drawing on a range of approaches and techniques: psychodynamic approaches to explore how your early experiences may have shaped you; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help connect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours; and humanistic approaches that focus on your present-day emotional experience. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, life experiences, and therapeutic goals. When appropriate, I also use coaching techniques.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
