About me
I specialise in EMDR therapy for adults who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
Many of the people I work with have already spent time reflecting on their experiences and may have had previous therapy, yet still find themselves struggling with recurring emotional reactions, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, or the lasting impact of earlier life experiences. They are often looking for a more focused approach that helps them move beyond insight and create meaningful change.
I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner and have undertaken additional training in Attachment-Informed EMDR. This approach recognises that our current difficulties are often shaped not only by significant life events, but also by the relationships and experiences that have influenced how we view ourselves, others and the world around us.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy recommended by NICE and the World Health Organisation. While many people associate EMDR with trauma and PTSD, it can also be effective for a range of difficulties including anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, performance-related challenges and longstanding patterns rooted in earlier experiences.
I offer in person sessions in Dunfermline.
I offer online EMDR therapy throughout the UK. Research shows that EMDR delivered online can be just as effective as in-person therapy. Many clients value the convenience, privacy and comfort of working from their own environment. Sessions are delivered using a secure EMDR platform, and no software download is required.
Alongside EMDR, I draw on CBT where appropriate to support clients in understanding and changing unhelpful patterns in the present.
I have over 19 years' experience working therapeutically across a range of settings and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
If you are looking for a focused, evidence-based approach and are interested in exploring how earlier experiences may be influencing your life today, I offer a free introductory call to discuss whether EMDR therapy may be a good fit for you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
