About me
Please note that due to Covid 19 I am currently offering online or telephone sessions only.
I offer EMDR, CBT and Counselling for individuals. I specialise in working with a range of anxiety problems trauma, PTSD, phobias, panic and OCD.
I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an effective and recommended treatment for trauma and anxiety issues including phobias.
EMDR is the recommended treatment for trauma in national and international guidelines including the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the World Health Organisation (WHO). EMDR usually allows change to happen much quicker than with talking therapies, therefore requiring fewer treatment sessions.
I am an accredited member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and EMDR Europe. I am also a member of BABCP (The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies).
I work collaboratively with my clients so that together we can understand what the problem may be and what is stopping you from moving on. By looking at thoughts, beliefs and behaviours I can support you to make the changes you need to overcome current difficulties. I aim to support my clients to thrive in whatever your life circumstances may be and to feel more confident managing any future challenges that may lie ahead.
I have worked as a therapist for over 10 years in different settings. This has given me experience of working with a wide range of issues including addictions, stress, a range of anxiety issues, depression, relationship problems, abuse and trauma.
If you would like to make an appointment or find out more about the services I provide please give me a call on my mobile or send an email via this website.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
