About me
About me
I offer a calm, thoughtful, and collaborative space where you can speak openly and begin to make sense of what’s going on in your life.
A space to explore at your pace
I work with adults from all backgrounds and life experiences. I offer both open-ended and short-term therapy. Sessions are available online or in person at a welcoming therapy space on Mare Street, Hackney.
My approach to therapy
My approach is integrative, grounded in humanistic values and informed by psychodynamic thinking. This means I adapt my work to suit you as an individual, while holding in mind how past experiences - especially early relationships - can continue to shape how we feel and relate to others in the present. I believe that meaningful change comes from both feeling genuinely understood in the therapy relationship, and from gradually coming to understand ourselves - our patterns, responses, and emotional world - in new and more honest ways.
Why the relationship matters
I place particular importance on the relationship between us - how we build trust, how we work together, and what that might reveal. You don’t need to have things worked out before you come to therapy. Whether you're feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to understand yourself better, we can take time to explore your experiences and feelings in your own words.
Time and space to connect with yourself
This is somewhere you can pause, reflect, and engage more honestly with your thoughts and feelings. My role is not to offer quick fixes, but to support you in developing deeper insight, clarity, and the freedom to choose how you respond to life’s challenges.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, trained at the University of East London and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I engage with regular CPD to develop my approach.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
The first session lasts 50 minutes, charged at the standard rate. If you'd prefer to have a brief introductory phone call before deciding, I am happy to offer a free 15-minute conversation.
Further information
The first session is a chance for us to meet, talk through what’s brought you to therapy, and begin to get a feel for whether we’d work well together. I’ll ask some gentle questions to get a sense of your story, but there’s no expectation to share anything you’re not ready to.
We’ll also talk about practicalities, whether you're looking for short-term or open-ended support, session times, fees, and how we might begin. You're welcome to come with questions or concerns about therapy itself.
