I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with over 23 years experience. I am Director at Heart and Mind Counselling and Psychotherapy, a family run private practice established in 1992. We are situated in a quiet road opposite a farmers field in Grays, Essex.
I have many years experience of counselling in various settings accross Essex and East London. My intention is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, comfortable space for us to explore any issues affecting you. My counselling room is private, comfortable and peaceful.
I will support you in discovering what is best for you and what you hope to gain from coming into therapy. It may be that you have specific life experiences that you want to work through to enable you to move forward with your life, or are in need of offloading everyday stress and searching for peace of mind.
I am a warm, very down to earth person and believe that we all have the potential to experience more satisfying and fulfilling lives. I work with individuals and couples, as well as supervising other counsellors, facilitating groups and delivering training to other professional organisations.
I have a passion for my work with people and am committed to good ethical practice. I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and have regular supervision with a BACP, UKRC accredited Supervisor.
I am also the Clinical Lead at HBBS a local Bereavement Counselling Charity.

COMMENTS FROM PREVIOUS CLIENTS:
"Heidi is an excellent counsellor - She has fantastic listening skills & is able to suggest and implement the most effective solutions tailored to the individual. My previous counsellor never really understood me - unlike Heidi. Thank you for improving my life!"
"I felt I could truly be honest with Heidi and she listened to everything I had to say, very warm and friendly and she made me feel at ease. The room is very comfortable and relaxing."
"I found Heidi very helpful and understandimg."
"Unlike counsellors I've been to in the past, I felt this therapy gave me 'tools' I could go away with and use for life. The counselling room is comfortable and calming. I felt it was private enough to speak about sensitive issues."
