About me
I am an integrative counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, offering a warm, welcoming space where you can feel heard, supported and accepted without judgement.
I support people who find life overwhelming or are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, betrayal or relationship difficulties. I also work with carers and those affected by a loved one’s addiction, offering space to focus on their own feelings and needs.
My approach is flexible, drawing on different counselling methods to suit you as an individual. Together, we can explore what is troubling you at a pace that feels comfortable. Helping others make sense of their experiences and move towards healing is at the heart of my work.
I offer in-person counselling in East Kilbride and Strathaven, as well as online sessions. My fee is £50 per session.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an HNC and HND and completed my counselling training at Springvale Wellbeing. Since qualifying, I have continued to work there in private practice for the past year, supporting clients with a range of emotional and personal challenges.
My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, grief, betrayal and relationship difficulties, as well as supporting carers and people who feel overwhelmed by life.
I have undertaken additional training in addiction and supporting families affected by a loved one’s addiction. I also use Sand Therapy within my counselling work.
As an integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP, I draw on different counselling approaches to offer support that reflects each client’s individual needs.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
An area of my work that is particularly meaningful to me is supporting people who have moved to this country and are finding it difficult to feel settled or connected. I have worked with people navigating life in a new culture while coping with the grief of leaving family, home and a country affected by war.
I value offering a space where each person’s story, culture and experiences are met with care and respect. There is room to speak about loss, belonging and the challenges of starting again, and to feel heard without having to leave any part of yourself at the door.
